On August 29th, 2025, the Office of the Bronx Borough President Vanessa L. Gibson brought the community together for a day filled with joy, resources, and support at the Back-to-School Bash. Held at the New South Bronx Center, 991 Longwood Ave, the event helped families gear up for the new school year while celebrating the spirit of community.
The Police Athletic League, Inc. partnered in this effort, reinforcing their longstanding commitment to uplifting Bronx youth and families.
For many families, preparing for a new school year can be challenging, with the cost of supplies adding up quickly. This event not only eased that burden but also reminded children that their community believes in their potential and success.
The Back-to-School Bash was more than just a giveaway — it was a celebration of love, care, and the collective investment in Bronx children’s futures.
We’re grateful to everyone who helped make this event a success — from the volunteers and service providers to the families who joined us. Together, we sent Bronx students back to school with confidence, joy, and the tools they need to shine.
