Celebrating Our Young Environmental Leaders from the Bronx

Spreading Love Foundation proudly celebrates the teens from Christ Apostolic Church International, Bronx, who successfully completed ELOC's six-week Student Summer Energy & Environmental Program for Teens (SSEEPT), gaining hands-on STEM education, mentorship, and leadership development in climate and environmental science. Through experiences including lab experiments, field trips, presentations, and scholarship opportunities, these young leaders are being empowered to become the next generation of environmental advocates and changemakers in their communities.

We are so proud to celebrate a group of incredible young leaders who just completed Environmental Leaders of Color, Inc. (ELOC)’s Student Summer Energy & Environmental Program for Teens (SSEEPT)— a six-week STEM leadership academy designed to incubate the next generation of environmental advocates, innovators, and entrepreneurs from disadvantaged communities.

Investing in Youth, Investing in Our Future

From July 14 to August 21, these teens showed up every Tuesday and Thursday at 483 East Tremont Ave, ready to learn, lead, and serve. SSEEPT isn’t just another summer program. It’s hands-on, PhD-designed climate education that meets students where they are and equips them to shape where we’re going.

What Our Teens Experienced:

Hands-on climate education & fun lab experiments— making science real and relevant
Paid stipends for participants— because youth leadership should be valued
Field trip to a Weather Station— learning directly from experts in the field
Mentorship & a supportive atmosphere— community is everything
Student Presentation Showcase & Graduation Ceremony— celebrating their voice and growth
Entrance into award programs + available scholarships— opening doors for what’s next
