Spreading Love Foundation Hosts Successful “Knowing Our Community” Event

Spreading Love Foundation Inc. proudly hosted its second annual “Knowing Our Community” event in partnership with CAC CARES. This year’s theme, “Sharing God’s Love and Serving our Neighborhood,” brought together individuals from diverse backgrounds, fostering a sense of unity and community spirit.

• National Black Health: Provided food, water, and snacks for the community.

• The Christ Apostolic Church: Sponsored food for the homeless, street evangelism, and
  distributed goodie bags.

• Columbia Center for Community Health: Conducted blood pressure screenings.

• Sustainable Impact Makers International.

• Klassique Travels Inc.

• Bombas: Supported with resources and services.

• Standup Wireless: Offered Lifeline program information.

• Department of Health & Mental Hygiene: Distributed masks and testing kits.

• Inside Edge Consulting Group: Educated communities about clinical trials.

• VIP COMMUNITY SERVICES: Provided essential items like undergarments, socks, and first aid kits.

• HPD OUTREACH: Offered housing support.

• Mayor’s Office for Immigrant Affairs: Provided valuable resources.

Special thanks to Mr. Richard Oduro for his continued support of clothes and shoes for the community.

The Youth Ministry of Christ Apostolic Church played a vital role in volunteering, preparing, and distributing bag lunches to the homeless and asylum seekers. They also canvassed the neighborhood, promoting the event and assisting 253 community members with a needs assessment. The collected data will inform partners and stakeholders about community needs.

On this Day

We consider this event a resounding success and look forward to giving back to the community in even more meaningful ways, adapting to the evolving needs of our people.

The event’s impact was remarkable:

• Fed over 300 community members

• Provided 79 health screenings

• Distributed 4000 disposable masks, 200 first aid kits, 150 sanitizer wipes, and more

We consider this event a resounding success and look forward to giving back to the communityin even more meaningful ways, adapting to the evolving needs of our people.
